Recalling Fun, Planning for More

On the way home from our group's "post-cruise picture exchange" party, my wife reminded me that we've known most of the people in the group more than 10 years. Given that we've lived in New England nearly 18 years, I'd say it's pushing more like 15 years.

At any rate, it occurred to me that, true to our tag line  - "Who Has More Fun Than Us? - Nobody!", someone should be writing the stuff we do down. So I'll volunteer. No real names, perhaps some nick names, and nothing lengthy. Just what we do, week in and week out to enjoy the life we're living.

As I indicated, we are freshly back from a 7 day Carnival cruise that went to the Western Caribbean - Balise, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Rotan. It's more fun than a group of people should be allowed to have! It's our second group cruise, the first being back in 2008 when we did the eastern side - San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Martin. Of the places we visited this time, I think I speak for the gang when I say our day in Cozumel - first and Pancho's and then later at Fat Tuesday's was the best day - way to much laughter and fun over ass kicking margaritas and over sized Caronas with "adult balloons".

Last night we all laughed about that day and the rolling party it became as we got back on board. I think we all drank right through the afternoon, dinner at the on-board steakhouse and then the evening activities!

Last night we started talking about the next non-local group vacation, perhaps in 2013. I say "non-local" since we do have a summer event down on "The Cape" scheduled for this summer. I've volunteered to be the trip coordinator for our 2013 event and we're getting a number of ideas: All inclusives, another cruise, a US based vacation (Grand Canyon, etc).

I post updates on the planning as we go along as well.
